Died on this day in 1316 aged 33 Elizabeth of Rhuddlan (my toy,wikipedia). Daughter of Edward I and great-great-grand-parent of Henry V (though the de Bohun family). Elizabeth died giving birth to her 11th child, a sadly common fate.
Born on this day in 1739 to Duke Charles of Mecklenburg and Princess Elizabeth-Albertine of Saxe-Hildburghausen, Duchess Elizabeth of Mecklenburg (my toy,wikipedia). Brother of Charlotte (wife of George I). Adolphus never married and had no children, and doesn't seem to have done anything interesting as Duke.
A slightly late congratulations to Duke William of Cambridge (my toy,wikipedia) and Catherine Middleton (my toy,wikipedia) on the birth of their daughter Princess Charlotte of Cambridge (my toy,wikipedia) (youngest person with a wikipedia page??)
