naathDied on this day in 1551 aged 50 Thomas Wentworth , 1st Baron Wentworth (my toy,wikipedia). Nephew of Margery, mother of Jane, wife of Henry VIII.
Born on this day in 1455 to King Afonso V of Portugal and Isabella of Coimba, King John II of Portugal (my toy,wikipedia). Great great grand son of John of Gaunt. Also father of Afonso, husband of Isabella, sister of Catherine, wife of Henry VIII. John consolidated power for himself, revoking the privileges of the nobility (about which they were obviously unhappy!)
