Died on this day in 1619 aged 44 Anne of Denmark(my toy,wikipedia). Anne was the wife of James VI and I, and the daughter of the King of Denmark. Her marriage was not happy, but was fairly stable, and they had 7 children together; Anne may have converted to Catholicism at some point, and her Catholic tendencies were not the most popular thing in England. She was a great patron of the arts and not heavily involved in politics.

Born on this day in 1409 to Duke Jean I of Alencon and Marie of Brittany, Duke John II of Alencon(my toy,wikipedia). His mother was the daughter of Isabella of Valois who had been married to Richard II. Jean was most famous as a friend and support of Joan of Arc.
