Mar. 16th, 2015 05:34 pmDied on this day in 1279 aged 59 Joan (my toy,wikipedia). Mother of Eleanor, wife of Edward I. Joan was going to marry Henry III, but didn't because the French King would have been cross. She married twice, had several children, and ran up large debts.
Born on this day in 1338 Thomas de Beauchamp (my toy,wikipedia). Great grand father of Anne Neville, wife of Richard III. Thomas was Earl of Warwick, and one of the Lords Appellant opposed to King Richard, for which he was stripped of his titles and exiled (to the Isle of Mann) but he got everything back when Bolingbroke eventually won.
