Died on this day in 1199 aged 41 King Richard Lionheart (my toy,wikipedia). Usually portrayed as the "good king" in contrast to his brother John, Richard spent most of his reign crusading and not running England. He was also horrid to Jews. And probably not really all that great.

Born on this day in 1492 to Sir Thomas Green and Joan Fogge, Maud Green (my toy,wikipedia). Mother of Catherine Parr (wife of Henry VIII). An educated women she was in charge of the court school.
