Died on this day in 1509 aged 52 King Henry VII of England (my toy,wikipedia). Put an end (ish) to the wars of the roses by winning the battle of Bosworth Field (defeating Richard III and burying him in a carpark) and marrying his 3rd cousin Elizabeth, daughter of King Edward IV (Richard III's brother) thus jointing the houses of York and Lancaster to form the House of Tudor. He managed to leave the throne to his son Henry VIII without any fighting, a big achievement following all the previous shenanigans.


Born on this day in 1926 to King George VI of GB and Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon, Queen Elizabeth II of UK (my toy,wikipedia). Currently Queen. Happy birthday dear Queeeeeenie, happy birthday to you.
