Died on this day in 1471 aged 17 Edward of Westminster (my toy, wikipedia). Son of Henry VI (probably) and Margaret of Anjou. Margaret fled with Edward to France, after loosing to the Yorkists. Whilst there "in 1467 the ambassador of the Duchy of Milan to the court of France wrote that Edward "already talks of nothing but cutting off heads or making war, as if he had everything in his hands or was the god of battle or the peaceful occupant of that throne."" (from wikipedia) - Edward was Not Very Nice. He married Anne Neville (later married to Richard III) and invaded England with the help of Anne's father (who had changed sides); he lost, and died at, the battle of Tewkesbury, and that was the end of the main Lancastrian line.

Born on this day in 1008 to King Robert II of France and Constance of Arles, King Henry I of France (my toy, wikipedia). Uncle of Matilda who married William the Conker. Under Henry France was the smallest it has ever been. He married twice, lastly to Anne/Anna/Agnes of Kiev, which is going further away to find a wife than usual.
