Died on this day in 1610 aged 56 King Henry IV of France (my toy,wikipedia). Father of Henrietta who married Charles I. Born a Protestant he converted to Catholicism only after becoming King (following a distant cousin, I guess Salic law makes finding the next-in-line harder sometimes) and discovering that being a protestant King of France was impossible. Famously "Paris is well worth a mass", it was under Henry that France claimed Canada.

Born on this day in 1316 to King John of Bohemia and Elizabeth of Bohemia, Charles IV, Holy Roman Emperor (my toy,wikipedia). Father of Anne who married Richard II. Charles was the first King of Bohemia to be Holy Roman Emperor.
