Jun. 5th, 2015 05:09 pmDied on this day in 1249 aged 66 Hugh X of Lusignan (my toy,wikipedia). Married Isabella after the death of her first husband King John. Together they had 9 children and founded an abbey (not as a place to put all the children).
Born on this day in 1341 to King Edward III of England and Philippa of Hainault, Edmund of Langley Plantagenet , 1st Duke of York (my toy,wikipedia). Great-great grand-father of Edward IV; whose claim to the throne is not through Edmund (being the 4th son) but through his grandmother Anne great-granddaughter of Lionel, Edmund's older brother (or, alternatively through "having a better army")
