Married the Emperor Henry IV, father of Henry V who married Matilda (or maybe Maud); the marriage was not happy and allegedly Henry forced her to participate in orgies. Eventually she got away from him, in the end returning to Kiev where she was briefly a nun.
Born on this day in 1747 to King Frederick V of Denmark and Princess Louise of Great Britain, Princess Caroline of Denmark (my toy,wikipedia). Grand-daughter of George II. She married William, who became Landgrave of Hesse, but the marriage was unhappy. Worse, she spent years in exile after the French invaded Hesse (or maybe better, she spent that time in a different place to William).
