Sep. 26th, 2015 02:22 pmDied on this day in 1230 aged 59 King Alfonso IX of Leon (my toy,wikipedia). Grandfather of Eleanor, wife of Edward I. In 1188 he summoned the first parliament reflecting full representation of the citizenry ever seen in Western Europe, the Cortes of León; which is pretty cool.
Born on this day in 1329 to Rudolph II, Count Palatine of the Rhine and Anne of Tirol, Anne of Bavaria (my toy,wikipedia). Wife of Emperor Charles IV, who was the father of Anne (by a different wife) who married Richard II. She was the daughter of the Duke of Bavaria. Alas she did not live very long.
