Died on this day in 1898 aged 81 Louise of Hesse-Kassel (my toy,wikipedia). Mother of Alexandra who married Edward VII, Louise became the Queen Consort of Denmark through her marriage to her second cousin. She took little part in affairs of state, although she arranged the marriages of her children.

Born on this day in 1240 to King Henry III of England and Eleanor of Provence, Margaret of England (my toy,wikipedia). At the age of 11 Margaret married the King of Scotland (who was then 10); she wasn't very happy in this marriage or living in Scotland.
