Died on this day in 1692 aged 17 Christian Hohenzollern , Margrave of Brandenburg-Ansbach (my toy,wikipedia). Half-brother of Caroline who married George II. Alas did not live long enough to do anything interesting to history.
Born on this day in 1430 to King James I of Scotland and Joan Beaufort, King James II of Scotland (my toy,wikipedia). Great-grand-son of John of Gaunt, son of Edward III. James II became King aged only 6 when his father was assassinated. James enthusiastically promoted the use of modern artillery, and it was while testing some new canon that he died when one of them failed catastrophically.
