Died on this day in 1212 aged 60 Geoffrey Plantagenet , Archbishop of York (my toy,wikipedia). Illegitimate son of Henry II. Geoffrey was Bishop of Lincoln, but was forced to resign due to not being ordained... he was later both ordained and made Archbishop of York, which kept a possible contender to the throne nicely out of the way.

Born on this day in 1574 to King Frederick II of Denmark and Norway and Sophie of Mecklenburg-Gustrow, Anne of Denmark (my toy,wikipedia). Wife of James VI & I. Although brought up Lutheran she was possibly Catholic, and supported Catholic marriages for their sons.
