Died on this day in 1257 aged 36 Constance of Wroclaw (my toy,wikipedia). Great-grand-daughter of Bela, husband of Margaret, wife (previously) of Henry the Young King. Before we had an EU we did European Integration by marrying our royalty off to their royalty... this was less good at preventing wars than the current method.

Born on this day in 1856 to Claude Bowes-Lyon and Frances Smith, Francis Bowes-Lyon (my toy,wikipedia). Brother of Claude, father of Elizabeth, mother of the current Queen.
