Friday 5 vacation
Jun. 14th, 2019 11:32 am1. What was your favorite childhood vacation?
We cruised down the Nile, it was fabulous. Luxor to
swan and back w/ side trip to Abu Simbel and a week in Luxor. No I did not see Giza, I did see the temple of Hathor at Dendera (wrong direction from Luxor, very hot, serious security but no issues). I am happy I saw Egypt in a fairly stable political situation.
2. What is your dream vacation?
Red pandas in Nepal, but I can't because I can't walk any distance. Or maybe the Hotel Chocolat hotel in St Lucia, mmm chocolate (it's got a name, it's not just 'hotel chocolate', but it should be)
3. If you could take a trip around the world, what locations would you be sure to include?
Onna train please (few boats), which probably means seeing a lot of Siberia... I'm not super sure what I'd insist ons going out of my way to see.
4. Do you prefer vacations to new destinations, to familiar destinations, or a mix?
New! I don't usually go to the same place again except for 'doing stuff with people'.
5. What activities would you plan for a two week staycation?
Painting the house. Read All The Books.
