Died on this day in 1551 aged 15 Henry Brandon , 2nd Duke of Suffolk (my toy,wikipedia) Step-son of Mary Tudor, sister of Henry VIII (well, she was dead at the point he was born, so maybe not quite "step-son"). He succeeded to the dukedom while still a child, and died not long after of the sweating sickness (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sweating_sickness has some speculation on exactly *what* that was) he was succeeded in turn by his brother, who died only an hour later and thus holds the record for holding a peerage for the shortest period of time (not such a good record to have).

Born on this day in 1932 to Berthold , Margrave of Baden and Princess Theodora of Greece and Denmark, Princess Margarete of Baden (my toy,wikipedia). Great grand-daughter of George I. Margarete grew up in Germany, trained as a nurse in London, and then married a Yugoslav prince, and was thereafter a champion of Serbian charities. They live on a fruit farm in England, and divorced in 1991.
