Sep. 10th, 2015 04:03 pmDied on this day in 1669 aged 59 Henrietta of France (my toy,wikipedia). Wife of Charles I. Henrietta fled to France during the Civil War, returned to England when Charles II was restored to the crown, and later returned to France. She was a devout Catholic (not very popular in Protestant England). The state of Maryland was named after her.
Born on this day in 920 to King Charles III of France and Eadgifu of Wessex, King Louis IV of France (my toy,wikipedia). Grandson of Edward the Elder. Louis lived for many years in exile at the court of Aethelstan, but did eventually return to France, where he was King but didn't actually control much of anything really. He married the sister of the Holy Roman Emperor.
