Dec. 21st, 2015 04:57 pmDied on this day in 1536 aged 65 John Seymour (my toy,wikipedia). Father of Jane (wife of Henry VIII). John was a soldier and a courtier, and lived at Wulf Hall which gave its name to the book by Hillary Mantel.
Born on this day in 1800 to August Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg , Duke of Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg and Louise Mecklenburg-Schwerin , Duchess of Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Princess Louise of Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg (my toy,wikipedia). Mother of Albert (husband of Victoria). When Louise was 16 she married Duke Ernest of Saxe-Coburg-Saalfeld who was 33... the marriage was unhappy and neither of them were faithful. They eventually divorced and she married her lover in secret, when this marriage was discovered she lost all contact with her children.
