Dec. 25th, 2015 12:00 pmDied on this day in 1283 aged 49 Manuel of Castile (my toy,wikipedia). Half-sister of Eleanor who married Edward I. Manuel doesn't seem to have done much of interest.
Born on this day in 1901 to John , Duke of Burdeuch and Margaret Bridgeman, Alice Scott (my toy,wikipedia). Married Henry, son of George V. During WWII Alice worked with the Red Cross and was made head of the WAAF. After the war she lived in Australia for some years while her husband was Governor General there. She lived to be 102.
