Died on this day in 1848 aged 54 Augustus d'Este (my toy,wikipedia). Grandson of George III. Augustus' parents were married in contravention of the Royal Marriages Act, so the law considered that they weren't married at all and he was illegitimate. He campaigned for rights for native Americans. Augustus is the earliest recorded person who can definitively be diagnosed with MS, he recorded his symptoms extensively in his diaries.

Born on this day in 1635 to King Charles I of England and Henrietta of France, Princess Elizabeth Stuart (my toy,wikipedia). Elizabeth spent most of her short life as a prisoner of Parliament.
