Died on this day in 1405 aged 60 Eleanor Maltravers , 2nd Baroness Maltravers (my toy,wikipedia). Married John, brother of Joan, mother of Mary who married Henry IV and was mother of Henry V. After John died Eleanor married Reynold Cobham, Reynold was a cousin of hers and they were divorced on the grounds of consanguinity, they later re-married after obtaining proper dispensation from the archbishop; so apparently you get be divorced without your consent... (presumably so the church could shake you down for money).

Born on this day in 1530 to Charles III, Duke of Savoy and Beatrice of Portugal, Marie (my toy,wikipedia). Great grand-daughter of Ferdinand and Isabella, parents of Catherine of Aragon, wife of Henry VIII. Died aged only 1, money was no defense against disease.
