Running through central Cambridge in a hoard of people dressed as Santa is very silly :-) My santa outfit was also somewhat silly, being a "sexy" santa outfit over my usual running gear.
Well, partly because woman-sized santa costumes come in "sexy" and "very sexy" and "lingerie" and I'm really *not* going to fit very well in a man-sized santa costume since I'm a smidge over 5' tall...
And partly because running in your trad. manly santa costume seems like a recipe for overheating (it was a cold day, but running warms me up fast); so the less santa-costume the better :-) cheap santa costumes are made of very cheap fabric which is bad for running in; whilst running kit is made out of more useful fabrics.
