The identity of Edward's mother is uncertain, and the succession was disputed with his brothers, he was later murdered possibly by his half brothers or step-mother and was succeeded by one of the half brothers.
Born on this day in 1496 to King Henry VII of England and Elizabeth of York, Mary Tudor (my toy,wikipedia). Mary was married to the King of France, who was much older than her and died soon after the marriage, she married Brandon for love and without the King's permission (he was rather cross, having intended to sell her hand for diplomatic gain), for which treason they were heavily fined.
