Apr. 3rd, 2010 03:34 pmHello my name is naath and I have a shoe problem

There are 40 pairs in that pic. (OK, some of them are slippers).
Some of these are straight-to-bin now that I've had a look - no longer useable as shoes. However I will still have left many more shoes than are strictly *necessary*, I think that of these I need (that is, have a real use for); the pink trainers (the blue don't fit well), the climbing shoes, the hiking boots, one pair of knee-high zip-up boots (there are 2) and one pair of hiking sandals (there are 2). Those useful shoes, plus the second pair of boots and the second pair of sandals all fit well and are comfortable enough to wear for, y'know, doing stuff in. Well, and the slippers, they fit but are not for wearing outside, and I probably need only one (or max 2) pair.
I own no shoes such as one might wear to a smart/smart-casual office job in summer. I don't care, because I wear my hiking sandals to my office in summer (I wear the knee high boots in winter, and maintain that they are sufficiently smart, or would be if polished anyway).
But most of these shoes are for parties. Parties that involve a lot of sitting down, since... standing or walking in them causes PAIN. This is probably why I have so many - because I buy things and then I can't wear them. But I really should stop, because basically nothing fits :-(
