naathDied on this day in 1938 aged 75 Cecilia Cavendish-Bentinck (my toy,wikipedia). Grandmother of the current Queen.
Born on this day in 1894 to King George V of the the United Kingdom and Mary of Teck, King Edward VIII of Great Britain (my toy,wikipedia). Abdicated the throne to marry the divorced Wallis Simpson. Edward was a Nazi sympathiser, so it's probably for the best that he quit being King. For a while he was the governor of the Bahamas, which he seems to have hated.
