naathDied on this day in 1537 aged 16 Madeleine of Valois (my toy,wikipedia). Married James V of Scotland, who was the grandfather (through a different wife) of James VI & I. Madeleine was the daughter of the French King, she always had fragile health and was sent to live in warm parts of France to keep her away from nasty chills that might make her ill; moving to Scotland proved disastrous for her health and she died only months later.
Born on this day in 1771 to King Christian VII of Denmark and Princess Caroline of Great Britain, Princess Louise of Denmark (my toy,wikipedia). Great grand-daughter of George II, although officially recognized as the daughter of Christian, it is likely that she was actually the daughter of her mother's lover Johann; this did not affect her official position at court, although it may have been a motivating factor in marrying her to a Danish Prince who himself had strong ties to the throne so that any children they would have would *certainly* have a claim, supposing her (half) brother didn't have any children.
