I liked this, but somehow it didn't grab me and make me read it super-fast. Part of his ongoing Craft sequence, this one comes before Two Serpents Rise which I spent a lot of time being confused about.

Died on this day in 1872 aged 64 Princess Feodora of Leiningen (my toy,wikipedia). Half-sister of Queen Victoria. She married a man she had only met twice, presumably because he was a convenient match, or possibly just a way to escape her mother. She corresponded with Victoria from her home in Germany.

Born on this day in 1158 to King Henry II of England and Eleanor of Aquitaine, Geoffrey Plantagenet II, Duke of Britany (my toy,wikipedia). At only 15 Geoffrey joined his first revolt against his father. Henry II didn't have much luck with his sons...
