Dec. 10th, 2015 03:44 pmDied on this day in 1363 aged 31 Elizabeth de Burgh (my toy,wikipedia). Married Lionel, son of Edward III. No relation to the fictional lady Catherine ;-p Their granddaughter Anne married into the House of York, taking with her her claim to the throne. Elizabeth was born in Ireland to the Earl and Countess of Ulster, and died in Ireland whilst Lionel was Governor there.
Born on this day in 1724 to King George II of Great Britain and Caroline of Ansbach, Princess Louise of Great Britain (my toy,wikipedia) Louise married the crown prince of Denmark in an arranged marriage that seems to have been reasonably happy. She died young (complications of pregnancy) and was buried in Roskilde cathedral, a fact I mention mostly because Roskilde has an excellent Viking Ship Museum.
